The First Lady of Nigeria Invitational Women’s Tournament, tagged ‘Aisha Buhari Cup’ will host six of the best women’s football clubs in Africa.
South Africa, Cameroon, Mali, Morocco, and Ghana are the six teams that will converge in Nigeria for the women invitational tournament which will commence on September 14, 2021.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday named NFF’s 1st Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi, as Chairman of the local organising committee for the women’s tournament.
Other members include Chairman of Chairmen of Nigerian Football, Ibrahim Gusau; Chairman of the Nigeria Women Football League, Aisha Falode, and NFF’s Head of Women’s Football, Amina Daura.
