Some policemen have been feared killed by gunmen in Ekwulobia Aguata local government area of Anambra State.
Spokesperson Anambra state police command, Ikenga Tochukwu who confirmed the incident said the gunmen attacked Ekwulobia station at about 4am.
He said attempts by the hoodlums to set the station ablaze were repelled by the policemen on duty.
The attack came barely 12 hours after hoodlums killed three policemen at Neni and four naval personnel at Awkwuza in Oyi local government, on Thursday.
Tochukwu said he could not ascertain the number of policemen killed by the assailants, adding that the Command was still expecting further reports.
