Kano State Government early on Friday resealed the office premises of a lawyer representing the Senator Ibrahim Shekarau- led faction of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in a case had in Abuja court, Barrister Nureini Jimoh, SAN.
The office of the lawyer was unsealed on Wednesday afternoon after a public outcry to the action of the state government to seal the legal practitioner’s office Wednesday morning, over an allegation of owing ground rents.
On Thursday, Kano State Bureau for Land Management, denied sealing the office of the lawyer, adding that the whole premises was locked due to outstanding ground rent, and later unseal the premise.
Observers believed that the government’s action was unconnected to the backlash of the judgement against Governor Abdullahi Ganduje-led faction of the APC in Abuja on Tuesday where Barrister Nurieni Jimoh led the legal team that represented the Senator Ibrahim Shekarau faction that won the suit.
However, 21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that the compound was again locked very early on Friday morning.
