Again, Bandits abduct 50 passengers in Niger
No fewer than 50 passengers have been abducted along the Tegina – Minna road in the Rafi local government area of Niger State.
This is coming two weeks after bandits abducted 21 passengers of Niger State Transport Authority along Kontagora-Minna road, and a week after they abducted 40 students and staff of Government Science College, Kagara.
Reports said the gunmen blocked a road at Kundu, which is a few kilometers to Zungeru, and abducted all the passengers and drivers in three vehicles.
Reports also said gunmen invaded Gidigori where they abducted several people and carted away food items and other valuables.
The spokesperson of Niger state Police Command, Wasiu Abiodun, couldn’t be reached for comment.
