The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has been suspended from the party.
Mr Ganduje, a two-term governor of Kano State, was suspended by the Ganduje Ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state.
The suspension, announced by the ward’s legal adviser, Halliru Gwarzo, on Monday, was attributed to bribery allegations levelled against Ganduje by the Kano State Government.
Ganduje’s spokesperson, Edwin Olufo, has not yet responded to inquiries regarding this latest development, despite repeated calls to his known telephone line.
