One of the suspected killers oef the 17 soldiers declared wanted by the military has turned himself in.
He is a traditional ruler by name Clement Ikolo Ogenerukeywe, who is currently in the custody of the Delta State Police command.
Ogenerukeywe and seven other were declared wanted by the military in connection with the killing of 17 officers and soldiers of the Nigeria Army 15 days ago.
The state Police Commissioner Abaniwonda Olufemi said Oghenerukevwe, who is the Urhukpe I of Emu Kindom, “turned himself in” shortly after the Defence Headquarters declared him and seven others wanted.

The other wanted suspects are a professor of Physics, Ekpekpo Arthur; Andaowei Bakriri, Akevwru Omotegbo (a.k.a Amagben), Akata David, Sinclear Oliki, Reuben Baru and Igoli Ebi.
Ogenerukeywe’s ascension to the throne was greeted by protests by many Emu Kindom indigenes.
The protesters, mainly women, said Oghenerukevwe was not an indigene of the kingdom.
