Governor of Kaduna state Uba Sani has initiated the construction of a 5.5-kilometer asphalt road connecting the community to the Kaduna International Airport.
The Governor Sani has also commissioned the establishment of a Skills Acquisition Centre and a Modern Primary Healthcare Centre to cater to Tudun Biri and other neighboring villages affected by the tragic military drone attack on December 3, 2023.
Addressing attendees at the groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, Governor Sani emphasized that these projects would catalyze development in the farming community.
He highlighted that the road would facilitate easier access to markets for Tudun Biri and nearby villages, enabling them to sell their agricultural produce more conveniently.
Reflecting on his commitment made just two days after the unfortunate drone incident, Governor Sani reiterated his promise to improve the village’s infrastructure, including the construction of a hospital and a skills acquisition center. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to fulfill this pledge.
Governor Sani underscored the significance of revitalizing the rural economy as a key agenda of his administration. He emphasized that the 5.5-kilometer road would significantly reduce travel time for the community and enhance the movement of goods.
Moreover, he highlighted the importance of establishing a skills acquisition center to empower the youth of Tudun Biri to become financially independent by learning various skills.
Acknowledging the patience and cooperation of the Tudun Biri community during and after the challenging times, Governor Sani assured them that their needs would not be overlooked.
Earlier, Alhaji Aminu Idris, the District Head of Rigasa, expressed appreciation to Governor Sani for fulfilling his promises.
He also appealed to the government to extend similar road projects to link Tudun Biri with Buruku, benefiting other neighboring communities.
