The acting Deputy Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Helen Amakiri, is dead.
She died on Tuesday at 58.
The deceased was in charge of Critical National Asset and Infrastructure (CNAI).
NSCDC spokesperson, Babawale Afolabi, announced this on Tuesday in Abuja.
The NSCDC Commandant General (CG), Ahmed Audi, said the demise of Amakiri is a monumental loss to the Corps as she would be greatly missed.
He described the late Amakiri as an exceptionally outstanding officer, a gallant and erudite senior management Staff.
Amakiri, born in 1966, was enlisted into the Corps as a Commissioned Officer in 2004 and rose through the ranks, largely due to her dedication to duty and excellent academic achievements.
