The reconstruction of Tudun Biri following the military drone bombing that killed over 120 civilians will begin in two weeks time, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has said.
The commitment from the Federal Government was disclosed by the governor during the National Executive and National Working Committee Meeting of Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, held at Kaduna State University.
Mr Sani assured the people that he had discussed the rebuilding issue with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu five days ago, leading to assurances that the rebuilding work in Tudun Biri would begin within the next two weeks.
He assured that the federal reconstruction project will include building of houses, a hospital, school, market, and a Police station in Tudun Biri.
He highlighted the state government’s support, having provided psychosocial assistance to the 75 victims during their 17-day stay at the state women and children facility.
Addressing Fityanul Islam’s University project, Governor Uba Sani promised to allocate land by the following Tuesday and expressed support for the organization’s plan to establish an orphanage home in Kaduna.
The National Leader of Fityanul Islam, Sheikh Muhammad Arabi Abdul Fathi, urged the government to expedite Tudun Biri’s rebuilding.
He also called on the Federal Government to subsidize the 2024 Hajj fare due to the increased exchange rate.
