The Kano State Government on Tuesday announced 50 percent cut of March salary of political office holders in the state.
The state commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.
He said the action was due to shortfall in the revenue accruing to the state from the federation account.
21st Century Chronicle recalled that the state had said it couldn’t pay the March salary of civil servants in full due to shortfall from federation account, a development that did not go well with workers who are threatening industrial action.
