Nine people have been killed and several others abducted when bandits ambushed commuters along Kaduna-Kachia road, in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state.
A security source said the attack took place on Monday morning near Kasuwan Magani, when the bandits opened fire on vehicles coming from the Kachia axis.
He said the number of people abducted could not be determined because vehicles were many on the road.
Spokesperson of the state Police Command, Mohammed Jalige, was yet to confirm the incident.
