The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture, Andrew Kwasari, says over 200,000 hectares of land across 15 grazing reserves are being prepared by the Federal Government under the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP).
Kwasari also said 22 states had so far expressed interest in the livestock programme.
The programme was aimed to addressing the lingering farmer/herders clashes in the country.
Kwasari, who coordinates the NLTP said some participating states had already commenced training for the implementation of the scheme.
He said President Muhammadu Buhari had secured a €400,000 grant from The Netherlands for the initiative.
