The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has declared the March 18 governorship elections in Zamfara as inconclusive.
The court also ordered a fresh rounds of elections in three local government areas kd the state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Lawal winner of the governorship election.
APC’s Bello Matawalle had challenged the victory of Governor Dauda Lawal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The state governorship elections tribunal had upheld Lawal’s election, but Matawalle proceeded to the Court of Appeal.
A three-member panel of justices, on Thursday, annulled the victory of Mr Lawal and ordered a rerun of the election in three local government areas of Maradun, Birnin Magaji and Bukuyum.
