Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has approved the appointment of a new Executive Chairman for the State Anti-corruption and Local Government Service (LGS) Commissions.
This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen in Katsina on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Malam Ibrahim Kaula.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the Katsina anti-corruption commission was recently established by the administration of Radda.
The new appointees include; retired Justice Lawal Garba, as the new head of the Katsina anti-corruption commission and Alhaji Usman Mamman-Maska is to head the local government service commission.
“All the appointments are with immediate effect. As for the Katsina State anti-corruption commission, seven new part-time members were also appointed.”
They are; Malam Surajo Doro, Alhaji Abba Mato, Alhaji Kabir Aliyu-Maska, Alhaji Nafiu Kuringafa, Alhaji Bello Danmusa, Mr Usman Dalhatu and Dr Jamilu Abdussalam, who is the Executive Secretary of the commission.
“And equally, seven new permanent members namely; Alhaji Abubakar Abdulkadir, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Lawal-Danyari, and Alhaji Mansur Mumai, were appointed for the local government service commission.
“The remaining permanent members include; Alhaji Shafi’u Inono, Alhaji Sani Aliyu-Jarkuka, Alhaji Abdullahi Kutawa and Alhaji Lawal Dalhatu.
“Similarly, Radda, in felicitating the new appointees tasked them on exemplary service to the government and people of Katsina State,” Kaula added.
According to him, Radda also appealed to them to equally align their visions with his administration’s ‘Building Your Future Agenda’ for Katsina people.
