Nigeria’s oil production increased to 1,346,562 million barrels per day (bpd) in September 2023.
Thi is the highest production level this year.
The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) made this known in its latest crude oil and condensate production data
According to the NUPRC data, output rose by 165,429 bpd in July — a 14 per cent increase compared to 1,181,133 bpd produced in August 2023.
With the addition of condensate, Nigeria’s oil production rose to 1.57 million bpd in September from 1.41 million bpd in August 2023.
Although the country’s latest oil production improved significantly, it is still far below the output quota of 1.8 million bpd set by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
