Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto state has threatened to sack any local government sole administrators found not staying with their people.
The governor, the era of staying in the hotel outside your domain is over.
“Please stay at your working place. We will be going round to check. Anyone found wanting, we will take appropriate action against him.
“My government will not condone lexity and absenteeism,” he said
Addressing the sole administrators on Monday, he said “it came to our notice that some of you are involved in some form of illegality.
“Some Sole Administrators allocate lands, sell government’s assets and make appointments without the approval of the state government.
“You are not expected to go beyond your assigned functions.
” You should not allocate or sale any government assets within your domain,” he warned.
