Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has upheld his election for a second term on Wednesday.
The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Bauchi, led by Justice P. T. Kwahar, delivered the judgement on Wednesday.
The three-man panel dismissed the petition of the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, former Chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar, challenging the re-election of Mohammed for a second term.
The tribunal said it has no grounds to nullify the election.
Meanwhile, journalists were prevented from gaining access to the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal In the State as it sits to deliver the judgement.
