The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has urged Kannywood Action Forum to use its platform to educate and enlighten Nigerians, especially Nigerian pilgrims on positive change towards the country.
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Alhaji Zikrullah
Hassan, gave the advice on Thursday when the Forum, led by Alhaji Ahmed Kaka, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.
Hassan, who described the forum as popular film actors in northern states, expressed belief that with their large audience, their action or stories would go a long way to portray the positive image of the country.
This, according to him, will help to change society positively.
Earlier, Kaka congratulated the commission on the successful completion of the 2023 Hajj despite the challenges.
He called for collaboration between the two organisations especially in the area of pilgrims mobilisation and extension using the social media platforms.
The forum also presented a Humanitarian Award to Alhaji Nura Yakasai, Commissioner, Policy, Personnel Management and Finance of NAHCON, in recognition of his contribution in providing assistance to the indigents in the society.
Yakasai, who thanked the forum for the gesture, assured the forum of the commission’s plan to collaborate in future.
