Prof. Bem Angwe, the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Benue in the 2023 general elections, has resigned from the party.
Angwe’s resignation was contained in a letter he personally signed and addressed to the NNPP Ward Chairman of Mbatyu in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue.
Angwe, who is also the former National Legal Adviser of NNPP, withdrew his membership
ahead of the NNPP National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting slated for Aug. 29, 2023.
The NNPP had been enmeshed into crisis that led to the suspension of the Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman, Dr Boniface Aneibonam, and the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr Agbo Major.
