The Economic and Finnancial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Sokoto state command, has arrested 23 suspected internet fraudsters in the state.
The suspects were arrested at Bafarawa Estate which was just few meters away from the command’s headquarters.
The spokesperson of the command, Kamilu Ibrahim, said others were arrested at Kwalkwalawa area all in Wamakko local government area of the state.
Ibrahim said the arrest followed an intelligence driven observations along with intensive close monitoring which proved that the young men were living above their means with no geniune source of income.
He said investigation was ongoing after which they would be charge to court.
The items recovered from them include Red Coralla sport 2009, White Coralla 2015; 16 different laptops; one Generator; 30 different phones and 2 MTN routers.
