The Chairman Bebeji Local Government Chairman Alhaji Sani Kanti is dead.
He died on Friday night after a brief illness.
Already condolences have began to flow in with the latest one from Kano state governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The condolence was contained in a statement signed by Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo on behalf of the state Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
In the statement the governor expressed grief over the death of Bebeji local government chairman, and described the death as “deeply painful and a huge loss, not only to his immediate family but the entire state and the nation.”
He further said late Sani Kanti was a peaceful man with wealth of experience in politics and service to the people.
According to the statement, “He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.”
He was since buried according to Islamic rites.
