Boko Haram fighters on Tuesday set ablaze school and a military base in Katarko village, a village about 23 kilometers east of Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
Sources said the insurgents also set ablaze a health facility in the village after looting drugs and food items, during the attack that happened at about 5:30pm when Muslims in the village were observing the sun set prayer.
The sources said the insurgents came in large number, shooting on the air and setting buildings on fire.
The military is yet to respond to the incident.
