The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom.
He was detained on Tuesday, according to reports.
The former governor was invited by the anti-graft body for questioning over his stewardship.
Mr Ortom’s former spokesperson Terver Akase, and Principal Special Assistant on Special Duties, Abraham Kwanhgu, were seen with him.
He had not left the premises as of 11:25am when this report was filed.
Mr Ortom left a debt stock of N187.7 billion when he handed over Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia of the APC on MAY 29, 2023.
