An iconic Kano Governemt House roundabout has been demolished by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
The demolition took place in the early hours of Wednesday and reportedly supervised by the governor himself.
Abba Gida Gida, as the governor is fondly called, has been on a demolition spree days after his inauguration.
He has been demolishing “illegal” structures inside the metropolis, drawing criticisms and condemnation.
It was not clear why the iconic roundabout was demolished yet.
The governor had in the early hours of Sunday, demolished shops built by the fence of Sani Abacha Stadium at Kofar Mata, GSS Kofar Nasarawa facing IBB road and buildings by GGSS Dukawuya, Goron Dutse.
