According to a recent projection, Ukraine’s combined grain and oilseed harvest will be 68 million tonnes this year, down around 8.5% from 2022.
The Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) predicted that this year’s harvest would be 36% lower than the 2021 yield of around 106 million tonnes.
According to the UGA, Ukraine will sow approximately 19.5 million hectares of cropland this year, down from 25 million hectares in prior years.
If the grain corridor remained operational, Ukraine would export 56.4 million tonnes of grain and oilseed in the current marketing year, which concluded on June 30.
According to the prediction, Ukraine has the ability to export 43.9 million tonnes of crops in the marketing year 2023-2024.
