President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Vice President-elect Kashim Shettima, were on Thursday conferred with national honours by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Tinubu received the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) and Shettima received the Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON).
Buhari did the investiture of national honours and officially handed over transition documents at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.
The 2023 presidential inauguration will mark Nigeria’s 7th consecutive democratic transition.
