The protracted clashes between farmers and herders in several parts of the country will top the agenda during the 46th Animal Production Conference starts on Monday at the Federal University Dutsinma, Katsina State.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Amarr Ya’u Hamisu Bichi, said this at a press briefing.
He said the Nigerian Society For Animal Production will help find lasting solutions to the protracted farmers/herders’ clashes in the country.
Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic and Chairman Organizing committee of the NSAP conference, Prof. Abdul Saulawa, described the organization of the conference as timely and tailored to address the current challenges in the livestock and food production sector which has often lead to threats and food blockades across the various geographical divides.
