Bandits have raided Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation in Mando,Kaduna, abducting many female students.
Witnesses told BBC Hausa that the bandits have taken away half of the female students in the school. No single male student was abducted, they said.
Mr Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, has confirmed the abductions.
Spokesperson of Kaduna police command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, couldn’t confirm the actual number of the students that were abducted.
He said the students “were abducted last night, we have no details of the number of students and I can’t say if they are all female.”
