Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has appointed 38 permanent secretaries and Directors-General.
The appointment involved 23 permanent secretaries and 15 DGs.
21st CENTURY CHRONICLE gathered that nine permanent secretaries and six Directors-General were recently retired from the service.
Three of them have attained their retirement ages while the rest voluntarily withdrew their services from the state.
A senior civil servant who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity, said some of them did so because of the role they allegedly played during the 2023 general election.
“They don’t know what will be their fate if the APC government takes over in the state.
“That was why they hurriedly resigned their appointments,” the source said.
