The traditional ruler of Aghara, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Chief David Obadofin, is dead.
He died in the custody of his kidnappers, 12 days after he was abducted.
The traditional ruler died on Thursday due to extreme torture by his captors, it was revealed.
The kidnappers had demanded for N60 million ransom but later scaled it down to N2 million for the monarch, but he died before the ransom was delivered.
The monarch and a woman identified as Elewa were abducted on Easter Monday from his farm residence in Aghara in Kabba-Bunu LGA at about 11pm.
There was no immediate comment from the Kogi State Police Command over the matter.
