Founder and Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has revealed that the university will soon establish MAAUN business school in Paris to support students while undertaking their post graduate research with a view to internationalize their certificate.
The founder made this known while addressing 1, 200 matriculation of newly admitted students into various faculties for the 2022/2023 academic session at MAAUN Kano. According to him the new students should count themselves lucky for getting admission into the University adding that their certificate is the most recognized in West Africa and it’s the only certificate that is not evaluated as a precondition to securing jobs in the United States of America.
The 2022/2023 matriculation ceremony, which is the second since the establishment of the university in Kano was held at the Professor Adamu Abubakar Rasheed Twin Lecture and in his address, President of MAAUN, Professor (Dr.) Mohammad Israr said the event marks the official enrollment of the matriculating students into the university academic program as approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
While congratulating the students for securing admission into the university, the President urged them to embrace self-discipline, seriousness in their academic pursuit, and implored them to be law-abiding students.
“Remember that you are now ambassadors of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Kano and you must express that ambassadorial disposition in all interactions on campus,” he said.
