Kano State Governor-elect, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has appointed a former Executive Secretary of TETfund Dr Baffa Bichi as head of his 2023 Transition Committee.
This was revealed in a statement by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor-elect, on Friday.
A retired Permanent Secretary, Abdullahi Musa was named as the Secretary of the committee.
“The Transition Committee will amongst other things, facilitate the orderly transfer of power from the outgoing Ganduje Administration to the incoming Abba Gida Gida Administration.”
“His Excellency, the Kano State Governor-elect will inaugurate the Committee on Saturday 1st April, 2023 by 2:00 PM. Below is the full list of the Main Committee membership, while sub-committees on various sectors and sub-sectors would be announced in due course,” the statement read.
The governor-elect picked his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) two days ago.
