The application for parole of former South African Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius, convicted of the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, was denied Friday, said the lawyer for the victim’s family.
“I do not know for what reasons the application was refused, we were only informed that it was refused and that it would be reviewed in a year,” Tania Koen told AFP.
A hearing before an ad hoc commission was held in the morning and was to inform the lawyers of both parties after deliberation.
