The candidate for the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has recorded a landslide victory in the presidential poll in Abia State.
He won in all the 17 local governments.
The state returning officer for the presidential election, Prof. Abel Ezeorah of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Alike-Ikwo (FUNAI), announced the results at INEC state office in Umuahia.
He said Obi polled 327,095 votes or 86 per cent of the 381,683 total votes cast, while Atiku Abubakar of the PDP scored 22,676 votes to place a distant second.
APC’s Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu \got 8,914 votes to place third.
