The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have called for the immediate cancellation of Saturday’s presidential election.
The parties also called for a fresh election to be conducted within the window provided by the Electoral Act 2022.
The parties also passed a vote of no confidence in the INEC chairman Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu.
The parties revealed this in a joint press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
The opposition parties alleged that the commission has compromised the entire process and have failed Nigerians.
They also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently intervene in the situation to avoid chaos in the country.
