Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Islamic Revolution’s leader, spreading despair in Iran is one of the key objectives of the country’s opponents.
The remarks were made by the Leader during a meeting with the chairman and members of the Assembly of Experts on Thursday in Tehran.
Ayatollah Khamenei said some enmities toward the Islamic Republic are “political animosity,” adding, “For example, the Islamic Republic pursues a stance on the Palestine issue and [world] powers have another perspective. This breeds hostility.”
“They aren’t particularly significant. The more significant one is innate hatred. The Islamic Republic’s nature breeds hatred,” the Leader remarked.
The Leader warned that some Western countries utilize liberal democracy to dominate the world, but emphasized that the Islamic Republic is not one of them.
