Before its launch later this month, the UK’s first private jet firm for animals has received a deluge of inquiries. Despite the fact that the inaugural K9 JETS trip doesn’t even have tickets available for purchase until the end of February, 2,200 people have already expressed interest in the service. Owners will board a luxurious Gulfstream jet with room for 10 passenger’s maximum, together with their pets, and fly between the US East Coast, London, Paris, and Lisbon.
Tickets start at £7,100, which includes all taxes, a private terminal charge, a seat for one person and their pet, luggage, and other expenses.
Although the service will primarily serve the market for cats and dogs, other animals such as parrots and bunnies are accepted as long as their registration is in order. Executive assistant Kirsty, of Birmingham, and pilot Adam Golder, who now manage the more conventional private jet company G6 AVIATION, which often serves “high net worth families, music moguls, footballers, and royal families,” formed K9 JETS. Due to a spike in demand from pet owners moving from the UK to the US and vice versa and their fear of putting their mutts and moggies on commercial aircraft, they noticed a vacuum in the market in 2022.
