Martin Odegaard has dismissed claims that Arsenal is under any pressure to win the championship, saying they “don’t care” what Manchester City does.
United Gunners have only lost one league game so far after Nketiah’s late winner.
In an FA Cup match, Arsenal will visit Manchester City on Friday.
Thanks to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Manchester United on Sunday, the Gunners extended their lead over the competition to five points. It was a triumph that came shortly after City, with an easy 3-0 victory against Wolves at the Etihad Stadium, had cut the lead at the top to just two points.
However, Odegaard insisted that City’s victory had little bearing on Arsenal ahead of their matchup with United and that he and his team-mates are not particularly interested in what Pep Guardiola’s group is doing.
The Gunners captain stated, “Honestly, we don’t care about City or any other team. “That was not a major surprise because we anticipated them to win. We only concentrated on our game; we came here to win, and we succeeded in doing so. We have a unique sensation from how we won this game, which will also be helpful.
