The Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora, says no Nigerian will be forced to take COVID-19 vaccine.
He said this during a television interview on Wednesday.
Nigeria on Tuesday received 3.9 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines shipped through the COVAX Facility, a partnership between CEPI, Gavi, UNICEF and WHO.
Memora said countries might start demanding a COVID-19 vaccination certificate before allowing outsiders in.
He said Nigeria may be influenced by a demand by countries for a certificate of vaccination.
“It may just be something that will become global,” he said.
