Bandits, wee hours of Sunday attacked Mamman Kontagora Teachical School, Pandogari in Rafi local government area of Niger state.
Pandogari is about 32 kilometres from Kagara, where students of Govternment Science College were abducted.
A member of the vigilantes corps, Haliru Hussein told our reporter on phone that the bandits attacked the school some minutes after 1:am but discovered the school was empty.
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello had in the wake of attack on GSC Kagara, ordered for the closure of all boarding schools across three local of government areas of Rafi, Shiroro and Munya designated as bandits stronghold.
Malam Haliru said when their mission failed, the bandits then turned on community members.
“Then went-from-to-house and abducted eight persons before exiting the town,” he explained.
He said the attackers called some family members later requesting for supply of weeds, jery cans of premium motor spirits and other items for their release.
He said family members were yet to put the items together for the release of their loved ones.
