Yobe State Government on Sunday ordered the closure of all boarding schools across the state.
This is due to spate of abduction of students in some states in the Northern part of the country.
Yobe, a state in Northeast Nigeria, has always witness attacks by Boko haram terrorists.
Bandits had abducted over 300 students in Zamfara State on Friday. It came after Gunmen kidnapped 40 students and staff of a boarding school in Niger state.
Although the state government has not made a formal announcement , reports said the decision to shut schools was reached early Sunday morning.
Reports also said parents with support from security operatives have started evacuating their children and wards from Government Girls Unity College, Damaturu.
