The Department of State Services (DSS) on Saturday confirmed the arrest of Salihu Tanko Yakasai.
He was a media aide of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, untill he was sacked Saturday over his criticism of the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
DSS spokesman, Peter Afunanya said in a statement on Saturday that the former aide of Kano governor is under investigation.
The statement said: “This is to confirm that Salihu Tanko Yakasai is with the Department of State Services.
“He is being investigated over issues beyond the expression of opinions in the social media as wrongly alleged by sections of the public.”
