At least four persons have been killed and 11 people, including seven women, have been abducted in fresh bandit attacks in different villages around Kagara in Niger State.
This came a few hours before the 40 students and staff of Government Science College, Kagara abducted by bandits 10 days ago were released by their captors on Saturday morning.
It was learnt that the bandits first struck at Gidan Adamu, near Yakila, headquarters of Gunna district.
Reports say the gunmen also attacked another village called Gidan Wamban Karaku and abducted seven women, two of whom are nursing mothers.
They also rustled a large number of cows and headed to Madaka district, where they kidnapped the Imam of Rubo village.
