Patrick Fakoya, also known as Rico Swavey and a housemate on Big Brother Naija’s third season, has passed away.
Days after the reality star sustained tragic injuries in a car accident, co-housemate Tobi Bakre announced his shocking demise on his Instagram page @tobibakre on Thursday.
Upon learning of Swavey’s passing, Bakre tweeted, “God knows best.”
Co-housemate, Alex, had disclosed that the artist was in a “serious condition” and unconscious following the terrible accident that happened early on Tuesday morning.
Bakre quickly set up a fundraising campaign to maintain Swavey’s life support system.
Alongside Bakre, Alex, and Cee-C, the 29-year-old reality sensation participated in the 2018 season of the popular reality series Big Brother Naija, themed “Double Wahala”.
Prior to his tragic passing, he solidified his position as a performing artiste with a number of TV appearances.
