An Ilorin man, Usman Bello, has pleaded with an Area Court in Ilorin to prevail on his wife, Memunat, to stop her divorce bid.
Bello on Friday told the court that he has been married to Memunat for 10 years.
“I do not want to leave her. I am not leaving her, My Lord please help me beg her,” he told the court.
Memunat had prayed to the court to dissolve her marriage with Bello on grounds that she was tired of the relationship.
Justice AbdulQodir Ahmed, gave the couple one week to settle their misunderstanding and continue their marriage.
Ahmed adjourned the case until Sept. 30 for report of settlement and or judgment. (NAN)
