Masquerades invaded a church in Shikal village of Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State on Sunday, and horse-whipped a pastor and worshipers.
The name of the church is unknown as at the time of filing this report.
The masquerades disrupted ongoing services and destroyed the Church’s musical equipment.
A witness said the church members expressed surprise at the masquerades’ action, even though they did not attack the masquerades.
The members just salvaged what was left of the church’s wares, scattered all over the place.
Elders of the village are said to be making efforts to get to the root of the matter in order to restore normalcy.
No reaction yet from the church or Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) officials in the local government area.
