The Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion held a memorial service for Queen Elizabeth II Thursday in Abuja.
Hundreds of people attended the service which was held at the Cathedral of Advent, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
In attendance among other dignitaries was the UK High commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing.
The Archbishop and Metropolitan Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Dr. Henry Ndukuba, organized the church service.
In his sermon, the Archbishop praised the life of the Queen and prayed for the repose of her soul
He also prayed to God to guide and keep the new King of England, King Charles III to succeed.
