Flood arising from heavy downpour has sacked 13 settlements in Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Also properties and farms were washed away thereby causing a humanitarian crisis in the area..
The flood started on Monday night, and continued to Tuesday leaving residents displaced and destroyed bridges leading to some communities.
A resident of Mabudi Emmanuel Nanpak, said several homes were submerged in other communities such as Lashel, Turaki, Gehetu, Karkasi Magama.
Another resident, Nankar Adams, explained that the flood caused food shortage afterwards because the farms have been destroyed.

“I sympathize with the victims of the flood and the entire Mabudi community. It has become necessary for communities, individuals and us as authorities to take proactive measures,” he added.
The people are calling on the government at all levels to come to their rescue having been rendered homeless.
