Justice Suleiman Lawal of the Area court in Jos has on Monday jailed 22-year-old Ismail Suleiman to three years imprisonments for damaging his neighbour’s car windscreen.
Justice Suleiman passed the judgement after the accused pleaded guilty.
He however, gave him an option of N100,000 fine .
Lawal also ordered the convict to pay compensation of N100,000 to the complainant or spend another one year in prison.
The prosecutor Insp Monday Dabit had earlier informed the court that the case was reported by one Ishaq Ishaq at the Nassarawa Gwong police station on Aug. 4.
The prosecutor said that the convict destroyed the windscreen of the car worth N120,000 without any provocation.
Dabit said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 313 of Plateau Penal Code Law. (NAN)
