The crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ebonyi State has depeened with the national body of the party Friday saying it will appeal the ruling of a Federal High Court nullifying its caretaker committee in Ebonyi state.
The PDP spokesman Kola Ologbodiyan who disclosed this, said the party will seek redress at the appellate court.
Ologbodiyan said his party is putting finishing touches on the paperwork to file the appeal, which will seek to correct what it termed judicial anomaly.
He said Mr. Onyekachi Nwebonyi, who is purporting to be holding a leadership position in the party, is not a member of the PDP and as such cannot hold or claim to be holding any position whatsoever in our party.
“If the dissolution was said to be wrong, the withdrawal/cancellation of his membership due to anti-party activities did not form part of that judgment,” the spokesman said.
